VIN: DJ640389 Partner 2013 1.6 Diesel
Towed in from another garage.
First check was battery voltage at 5V, charged battery car started OK. Checked battery and is faulty so will replace this. Found loose terminal on earth and a broken connector on the battery earth terminal, (see picture). Peugeot describes it as a Battery Unit (battery charge status unit), in the scan I did it says no comms with battery charge system, or battery monitoring. Can't remember now!
What exactly is this unit that has the broken terminal, and how or can it cause battery not charging? I have ordered a new unit anyway because of the damage. Just like to be forewarned before I start telling information to my customer as to what may be the problem...
