I have this little Corsa with just 50K mileage in for occasional power loss previously had fault codes P0106 barometric pressure implausible with boost P0108 high boost pressure. I cannot get it to produce any driving fault or codes! Looking at this turbo system it seems to have an entirely independent mechanical waste gate boost control. I am assuming there maybe internal intermittent solid state fault with map sensor (or boost sensor) as it had P0106 implausible! No sensors on this car appears to control boost pressure in any way, the only logical reason I can find for this alleged power loss and rev limit to 3K which apparently rectifies itself on restart is it must fall into limp mode when ECU receives implausible boost signal!
I am assuming ECU is only using information from boost pressure sensor to prevent failure from over boost and or for fuel metering as this seems to have no other electrical or vacuum control to or from ECU!
What do others know or think?
