Opel Astra-G 1998 16SZR Immo Problem

I have a automatic 1998 astra 1.6 with a immobiliser problem, i want to change the full set of ecu barrel and chip, can someone tell me if the donor ecu will work from a manual car into this automatic? And if it needs programing what will i need to do. Ive got global tis etc
