Brief history
Car was brought to us via a second hand car sales. Apparently it overheated and they had to do the cylinder head.
Issue
Vehicle hesitates at times, seems as though there is a misfire, car is a three cylinder. There are no fault codes logged.
Items i have checked
1. Cam timing
2. Installed a new bosch o2 sensor( it is a 2 pin type)
3. Tappet clearance.
4.compression test
5.cylinder leak test
6. smoke test.
Guys, I cannot seem to find the solution to this car. it is very sporadic the fault . car uses a coil pack. Sometime it is fine, sometimes it is although there is no fuel. it occurs mostly when the car is cold. when it idles it feels as though there is a misfire,that is the car idles rough. I am told this is how the three cylinders idle not too sure about it. I have had a look at the plugs they are the correct type according to chev. the amazing thing is when I had a look at the plugs it seems as though the car is running too lean. the plugs electrodes are white.
