Hi!
Just to see if any BMW Expert can help me with this Please.
I have BMW 318i 2009 with fault codes come 2A9A And 2A9B after too long cranking of the engine and in the CAS AOB4 starter operation.
Now the car went to BMW dealer and they have replaced new timing chain, starter, and earth strap. Which did not cure the problem. The car went to them with the same faults and come out with the same faults because customer did not authorized more investigation and took the car after months with help of his lawyer.
He had Bosch KTS print out of the faults from other garage as proof before he took to the dealer. Now the car is at my garage.![headbang headbang]()
I done test and scoped wires and the sensors all reading ok except there is not signal for ignition coils from ECU. When I do full scan with BMW ISTA-D only fault is in the CAS AOB4 but clears and comes as soon I try to start the car but synchro codes in the ECU only come after too long crank for about 60 seconds of cranking. I have reset counters in the steering and done synchro with ECU and CAS but did not help. Rechecked the timing with the tools ok and checked fuel delivery pressure ok also changed sensors from other car but did not help. The problem is either in the ECU or CAS unit but strangling to find where.
