Since replacing the engine in my partners 1.6 TDCi the stop/start no longer functions correctly, it worked prior, scan yields fault lost communication with battery monitoring, which cant be cleared.
When turning ignition, the stop/start indicator on cluster goes from orange to green as normal, but after only a matter of seconds the switch for the stop start in centre console turns orange, and pressing it does nothing, just stays lit orange as if button has been pressed, and stop/start function doesn't work.
How do i go about remedying this issue?
Could the actual battery monitoring sensor be duff?
How do i test for the problem?
