BMW E46 2005 Mulf Visteon Programming

Hi Mates.
Customer did have problems with the MULF Visteon from a E46 / 2005.
Old Mulf: 6-975173-02 HW: 11.02.00 SW: 06.09.40

We did order a new one. But BMW dealer did advise to NOT programm the unit into the network from the car. (He works after did build in).
They said they did have sometimes problems after programming in the car a black screen appear... and they cannot fix that.
Anyone did hear from this problem?
