This is only personal experience while supporting another repair facility that had a problem with turbine speed errors.
The most difficult part was "convincing" the dealer to sell the part. Another option would have been to send the sensor plate away for repairs but the customer wanted the MB repaired as quickly as possible. The tool/software "manual" we used is described clearly from Bluelink.
I do enjoy these "social" experiments.
