This information is in regards to the new interface for the VW Group.
The group includes: Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini, Seat, Skoda and VW
The new interface is generally connected via WLAN or direct via USB. This is an Actia device and can only be activated via ODIS and its own equipment. This is a fully compliant J2534 device.
There are several ways to purchase this device, some being Actia, erWin and Snap-On.
The new device will now be used in the new ODIS platforms but the new platforms will also accept the VAS 5055 and VAS 5054 (USB only) in the new ODIS.
I have worked with and tested a new (not the latest) ODIS version (I am not impressed![headbang]( "headbang")
) It was used with the VAS 5054 and connected from new to older vehicles. This software is definitely for new CAN based models but have connected via "K" line.
Later, will post the links and installation procedures of this ODIS version with specific and numerous Microsoft Updates. Flash programming is available in this combination Service and Engineering version.
Be prepared for a complicated and time consuming installation.
