Renault Kangoo 1998 1.4 8V Engine Comparability

Got here a old 1998 Ren kangoo 1.4, 8 valve that needs an engine, engine code E7J C634.
It's a case of can you do it as cheap as possible.
They've been offered a crashed Renault Clio, I've not got a lot of info on the Clio, I know it's a 1.400 energy engine and about 1994/5 ish.
Anyone know before they get it trailered to me if the engine from the Clio will fit the Kangoo, I think the E in the E7J is for the "energy" engine?
