Hi guys,
I recently purchased a 407 Estate 2.0 HDi (RHR) 2006 a runner but with issues for my self. It is one of them cars where i will fix it when i get round to it. bigsmile2
Plugged it in and came back with injector fault i pulled them all out and sent them off to be tested 3 out of 4 was good.
On closer inspection i noticed the engine had a lot of cable ties round a lot of things holding thing together and some wiring damage.
It had an EGR issue as well.
Oil was way over the max aprox 7 liters of oil came out of it someone over filled it and just to clear things up i didn't smell no diesel with in the oil which brings me to the part see picture far right inlet port filled with oil front and back all tho this is filled with oil how would that get there.
The engine oil was pure black with no signs of water and vise versa on the coolant side.
I have removed the rocker cover off as i have seen these engines clog up in the past.
Also i found if you look at the picture you will see a blank piece of metal with a hole in it, if your going to do the job you only want to be doing it once, so i will be going to town on it pipes being cleaned or renewed ect what ever it needs.
Thanks in advance.
Regards.
