I am looking for ELV Emulator plug and play. Before you start saying not possible, it is.![nod]( "nod")
I thought too but was proved wrong. I went to breakdown as usual customer phone me and said no ignition on the dash car not starting so from experience I knew it was steering lock very common on this car and this year. Arrived to the car removed the bottom cover and hit the steering lock/column a couple of times and it came on. I tried few times and it was working. Took the car to the garage and phone the customer and told him that is the job for Monday because it is Friday late and Saturday we work 8-12. Yesterday customer called some key/mobile guy to fix the steering lock. He fitted the emulator on it plug and play in less then 2 minutes, my co worker said and not even put the cover back! ![headbang]( "headbang")
What I noticed the original cable is not there for ELV (he took it away). It has some chip or a MCU with heat shrink at the end and 3 cables. I was not there when he done it. I phone him but would not say where he got it from. So I searched and found this exactly the same emulator on the Youtube.
Is it available from somewhere else?
