VW Touareg 2012 MMI Component Protection

I have a 2012 VW Touareg and the bluetooth function doesnt work. There are no fault codes. I have narrowed it down to the MMI Main Unit 7p6035664b. Its located in the glove compartment and controls the MMI. The unit is very hot to the touch. I found a used one but at the end of the part number there is no B suffix. Will this work? Has anyone tried it or any used parts with different suffix at the end? I have installed used parts and had the dealer remove component protection but always had a matching part number. Obviously this information will be very important soon as these cars are coming out of warranty and not everyone can afford a $2800 radio.
