Hello hello,
I write some interested thing about using laptops for last 2 years.
HP 4515 S new laptop, after guarantee expired, video on motherboard has defective.
2 times repaired and then went in trash. Maybe is HP politic = battery expired on some count of charge.
Lenovo/IBM T61 second hand with muscle. 500GB HDD and 4 GB RAM. I use one and half year. Problem is cooling fan on processor. Is noisy and working.
Fujitsu Siemens V8210 oldest laptop, all working battery is ok, 1 hour for 10 year laptop.
Lenovo G850. Newest. All are ok working prefect for this moment.
2 is working 2 private. I use for diagnostic based on Diagbox and Autocom/Delphi...

Conclusion:
Oldest Lenovo/IBM and Fujitsu Siemens working with Windows 7.
Lenovo has a great support drivers etc. for older models.
Fujitsu/Siemens has a bad support. Laptop deployed for Win XP, and with Win 7 has a problem with devices.
Newest HP has a good support but their products are with bad quality.
Newest Lenovo = I say for oldest.

This is my experience with laptops on last tine. My intention is to help some people with buying new or second hand laptops.
