I have a Ford Mondeo MK3 2.0i 2006 CJBB engine, manual transmission where the owner complains that it gets bad gas mileage and a bit low on power.
No DTC's so I started checking things with my Pico and found something I have never seen before.
The fuel injectors sometimes gets a second opening signal like on a common rail diesel with pre and post injections.
It doesn't occur all the time and not always on all injectors, it seems a bit random.
I have never heard of multiple injections on a petrol before.
I have attached a ps file where the engine is both idling and revving.
Please feel free to comment.
