How to program a new key

I was reprimanded for asking questions without helping, so... I'll try to be useful.

I'll translate in English the topic that I started last year in Ford Club Bulgaria's forum: Добавяне в паметта на имобилайзера нов ключ (препрограмиране). If there is anyone from Bulgaria, you can PM me, it will be fun to meet.

So, here is how you can add a new key to the immo's memory. I'll not talk about how to program the key to lock/unlock, but how to start the engine. The first thing you need to know is that you'll need hardware equipment to do it. IDS will do the job, but there are other tools that work. I'll not talk about them, let's focus on the theory and the procedure via IDS.

Depending on the vehicle, there are two methods to add a key. The older one is to wait about 600 seconds before you can access the immo memory and the second and more... unpleasant (?) one is to generate OutCode and using that OutCode you should purchase an InCode to be able to add a new key.

So, how the f**k i can generate an InCode? Eh... I have to tell you that you have to pay (or read the whole topic ). You need a subscription to Motorcraft Service, there are some Chinese dongles that for about 200 USD you receive 2000 codes or from sites like this one: http://www.patscode.com. Yep, I told you - you need to pay (stop crying, RTFT /read the fuckin' topic /)

If you need an InCode, reply in the topic, I'll generate it ASAP and of course - for free.

It's very important to know that on every request for OutCode, a new code will be generated. So if you turn of your program and wait for an InCode, you get the generated InCode for that specific OutCode, you WILL NOT be able to program the new kew. Every InCode is generated via the OutCode.

One more thing... Always! Always work with the new key. Using the new key you prevent the possible disconnections and waiting for the new InCode.

The next screen says that you should beg the Motorcraft Service to give you the InCode... CTFY (click the fuckin' yes ) and ask in the topic


On the following screen you will see the OutCode. If you ask in the topic, make a screenshot, or post the OutCode and the Part Number.


Enter the InCode, that you received for free


When you confirm, the IDS will ask you to turn off the ignition key, to remove the key from the barrel, to put it back and turn the ignition to on within 10 seconds.

That's it. Now you have one more key.
