Audi A4 B6 2002 Central Control Unit Issues

Hello guys

I have a 2002 Audi A4 B6 1.9TDi saloon UK right hand drive the shape is the 8E2.

I am struggling to find the central control unit for convenience system that controls all the locks, the central locking system and the alarm.

On the forums many people say its under the drivers seat or the passenger seat? however ETKA states its behind the glove box (see photo) but when i take the glove box out i just can't see how it could be there?

I have an issue with the drivers door not locking when i press the key fob, but however if i put the key in the drivers door and turn it it will lock all doors and boot and set the alarm as normal and same in reverse however if i use the key fob button it will lock all doors but not the drivers door and as a result will not set the alarm as the drivers door is open still?

I have already replaced drivers door wiring loom, door control unit and window motor and also the lock?

I believe it could be the connection to the central control unit for convenience system what do you guy recon?? when it is solved i will post detail description and images in the aide of helping others as from months of research i have learned this is a ball ache of a job!

Thank you

will
