Citroen C3 2005 1.4 HDi DTC's P0234 & P1351

Hi All,

Citroen C3 XTR 1.4HDi 16V 2005.

P0234 Engine overboost condition.

P1351 IDM input circuit malfunction/ignition coil control circuit high voltage.

Engine appears to run fine with no smoke and good acceleration, for a small diesel!

Research has shown these two codes often show together.

The fix is less clear, even some dealerships struggle to find the cause.

Everything from split hoses, EGR valves, sticking turbo vanes, relays etc etc.

Any ideas?
