Hello,
I have a Mercedes SL (R129) 300-24V, Manual gearbox
VIN:1290611F072009
Engine:M104.981
The problem is that the car starts fine when cold (after sitting a night) when it runs about 5min or more (when hot), I turn off the key and immediately turn on and the car will not start (just cranking...).
If I wait a long time the car will start.
I have checked:
1. Crankshaft sensor
2. Camshaft sensor
3. Coolant temperature sensor (new fitted)
4. Spark plugs
5. Rotor and distributor caps
6. Cold start injector (Y8)
7. Electro hydraulic actuator (Y1)
8. OVP relay
9.tried a "new" N16 from another car
Now I have found that, if when hot I leave the key about 1 min on 2position (with lights on ready for cranking), the car will start perfectly.
But before getting into fuel pumps, fuel accumulator I would like to ask if could be any other electrical problem?
I have attached some images, and please help me identify the red marked part as I have near 1 cut wire.
