I have this BMW that came in with code 4F8D. Feels like it takes off in 3 gear. Reverse seems fine. (1st gear). Does the tranny need to be replaced or will changing the square gaskets fix the problem? (The one between the valve body and the tranny) or should the solenoids be replaced too? I heard you can get them separate from the valve body. If i knew the valve body would fix it i would replace that. The fluid looked black but not a lot of shavings in the magnets. Looked pretty normal. I have it apart but would like some opinions before i put it back together.
